The holes lined up perfectly with the existing holes in the backboard so the install took all of 15 minutes. After 1 month of playing the hoop is still in great shape.
My wife told me not to install the net as none of the other hoops had nets and having one hoop with a net would cause an unecessary problem as the basketball area of the playground is used by all grades.
Having the extra hoop brings the number of half courts up to 6 so there is always enough hoops for all the children to play basketball.
